Welcome to MAITLAND IMPORTERS Inc. web site. We are a family owned and operated Volvo service business that has been located in the downtown area of Orlando since 1994. My personal love of the Volvo product started with my first Volvo, in 1965. It was a rusty red 1959 544. It would let snow in through the floor every time I plowed through a snow bank. Since that time I have owned many Volvos and I think I have owned at least one of every model, from the late 60's right through to some of the more current models. My experience with the Volvo line is quite extensive. My experience includes 5 years with a Volvo dealership and 12 years as an engineer for both VOLVO CANADA, and VOLVO NORTH AMERICA. I also spent 4 years with SAAB NORTH AMERICA, which is one of the reasons that we only work on Volvo's. It is hard to find qualified Volvo technicians, consequently we have to train our own. I personally train and supervise new technicians, to be sure they are doing the repairs and servicing the way I want done, not how they are often done in the industry. We try to stay up with technology in the shop. For example we were one of the first shops in the Orlando area to adopt the dye and UV light technology for a/c repairs. We were also the first shop, other than the local dealer, to have the computer download capability, on the 99 and newer Volvos. Technology is a moving target and it is difficult to stay up with it but we have made a company decision to keep abreast of this moving target and offer the best service we are capable of performing. My son Ian runs a full time parts department, with thousands of dollars worth of inventory for over the counter sales. What parts we don't have we can obtain quickly. Many times we can beat the dealer price on parts.
